Eurovision Song Contest 2000 - language
Does it help to sing in English?
Well, take a look at this chart from the 2000 contest. The four songs with the least amount of English are at the bottom places, but its not all that clear - Croatia got to 9th with no English, but did it help Turkey to have an English section? Just what language was Germany in? - "I just want to know what you there have?" Clearly bad English, but Stefan Raab speaks excellent English.
Judge for yourself, but I think English helps, but so does a good song and performance.
