As many of you will know this year's songs are either in the final on May 21st (Status=finalist) or they are from new countries, or scored poorly last year, and are in the qualifying round in Kiev on May 19th (Status=qualifier). The top ten scoring songs of the 26 qualifiers on May 19th will join the 14 finalists on 21st May in Kiev for the grand final. The United Kingdom along with Germany, France, and Spain are the so-called big four who need never worry how badly they score for they are guaranteed a place in final every year on account of their larger financial contribution. Performance order was decided by the drawing of lots on March 21st. After the semi-final on May 19th, the top 10 scorers of that contest will win the vacant places in the final due on May 21st.
