Three
songs, all performed by Brian Kennedy (right), competed to
represent Ireland in Athens through "The Late, Late Show"
(which curiously starts at 9.30pm, not all that late) on RTE-1 on 17
February. Pat Kenny presided over the 2 hour show.
The songs:
Song A: The greatest song of all (Jimmy MacCarthy)
Song B: All over the world (Don Mescall)
Song C: Every song is a cry for love (Brian Kennedy)
Brian's own compostion, "Every song is a cry for love", a
sort of torch song, won the televoting poll, and will be in the
Semi-Final in Athens on May 18th.
He'll be hoping it doesn't end there.
