Iceland 1999

The Icelandic song is called "All out of of Luck", and will be performed by Selma Bjornsdottir.

Selma now has an excellent little web site at

http://www.eurovision.is

which has an interview & biography, promises pictures from Israel during Eurovision week, and CD sales.
(Thanks to Karl E Kristjansson & Bergur Ísleifsson for this news)

On the left you can see frames from the excellent video made for the song, and you can hear the song in Real Audio by selecting this link.

I have to break with my usual tradition and say this song is by far my favourite!

"Don't work on a Sunday, don't sleep on Monday, ..."

Björk Eiðsdóttir tells us something about the Icelandic entrant:

Selma Björnsdóttir is 24 years old. She is a singer, dancer and a choreographer and has performed in numerous musicals in the National theatre and in the Reykjavík City theatre, such as Sandy in Grease, Columbia in Rocky Horror, and Rosalie in West Side Story. She also has a solo career as a pop singer and works closely with the writer of the Eurovision song, Þorvaldur Bjarni Þorvaldsson, who is without a doubt one of Iceland's best songwriters.

The song is not ready but I´ve heard it´s going to be an up beat dance music, performed in English.

Thanks Björk!
