As you probably know most countries voted this year using a public telephone vote. Originally only Bosnia & Russia were to use a Jury as they had a poor phone penetration in their country. However Eircom screwed up the Irish vote, so the stand-by Irish Jury voted for Ireland. The BBC released some details of the UK phone vote which showed 574,515 votes were cast - well up on last year - and Ireland was well in front with over 86,000 votes, Sweden having less than half that number. There's a completed score sheet for May 24th for you to print out here (you'll need to print in landscape), and here is an Excel 2000 spreadsheet here (zipped) with the totals and placings for you. On this page is just the placings and a discussion of the plans for 2004. Big changes are afoot.
